忘年会

サークルの忘年会がありました

イギリス人の先生は生のお魚が苦手なので

これー

美味しかったよー

ごぼうは食べたことがないようで

何これ？と

「ごぼうだよ」

英語でなんていうの？

先生いわく、ごぼうはドリンクにすると

ダンディライオンバーダックだって

ダンディライオンってタンポポじゃん

そしてごぼうを？えー？ド、ドリンク？

コカコーラのよう？

ほんとだー

コカコーラのような色で、炭酸で甘くて、

タンポポとごぼうの味はしないらしい

と書いてある

そして、最後に蕎麦を食べましたよ

音を立てるのはなんていうのかな？

サークルメンバーがスラープだよと

Slurp noodle というと

音を立てて麺を食べることを言うらしいね

私たち思い切り音を立ててたから

ヌードルハラスメントになったかもしれないわ

気をつけなきゃね

インドフード

英会話サークルの先生が大学祭でインドフード売るよ。

と連絡があったので、行ってきました。

パンフレットには、

サモサ

チキンフライ

ラムネ

パパド

の四つが書かれていたけど、

サモサ？パパド？状態

とりあえず、ブースへ行ってみると

インド人の女子2人がインドフードいかがですか？

と、目の前に立ちモーレツアピール👀

先生はどこかな？

いたいた！来たよー

あれこれセットで売っていたのでそれを四つ買いました

写真があったり、見本があったりしたのでイメージがしやすかった

日本人ブースはそこがイマイチ⤵︎

パンケーキって書いてあるけど、どんなの？

とか全然わかんない

盛り上がらないよね〜

さて、うちに帰ってきてお皿に盛り付け

改めて思うけど、

盛り付けって大事よね😅

手前の三角のがサモサ

ジャガイモとスパイスが入ったものが中に入ってた

私はチョーおいしいと思ったんだけど、

娘婿は辛い辛いの連発でしたよ

揚げ菓子みたいなのがパパド

おっきな丸いものから中華料理についてくるようなものまで

パリパリして一般的な味かな？

チキンフライはまさしくその通り

肉が苦手な私は食べなかったけど、スパイシーな味

他国の料理とか、食べたことないものとか食べるの好きだわー

美味しければね😉

英語 de お料理教室

毎週行ってる英会話サークル

先生はインド人です。

インドといえば？…そう！カレーでしょ！

お料理が得意な先生が料理の先生になって、いつものサークルがお料理教室に

うちで作るカレーのように市販のルーなんて使いません

人参、じゃがいも、玉ねぎ、豚肉でもなく

豆とほうれん草のカレー🍛

カレーにはたくさんのスパイスを入れました

でも、少ない方なんだって

さすがインドカレー

そして、チャパティ

ナンに似てるけど、ナンではない

こねて伸ばしてフライパンで焼いたら

なんと直火に！

ぷっくーと膨らんだ！

楽しい〜😆😆😆

My son was fooled.

My son sent me a photo and his message. 

His message;I was fooled. I was pissed.

I was looking for a butter in  our fridge.

I thought this was a butter because it was written “Butter”. 

The Inuyama castle and the Meijimura museum

 最近は英語サークルの一つがお休みなので、寂しい限りですわ

もう、九月なんですねぇ

夏休みは犬山城と明治村に行ってきました

犬山城はずっと行きたかったんですよ

別にお城フェチではないけど、よく聞くじゃない？

だから、それだけだけどね

I fell lonely because one of the English clubs closed recently. It’s already on September. I went to the Inuyama castle and the Meijimuura museum in my summer holidays. I’d wanted to go to the Inuyama castle for ages. I’m not fan of castles though. I often hear the castle’s name. It’s the only reason.

この石垣がすごいよね〜

天守閣からの眺めはサイコーなんだけど、怖い

若い時は怖くなかったし、ジェットコースターも乗れたけど、今はねぇ…無理だわ

ここはお城だけ行ってすぐに明治村へ

まずお昼

明治時代のレシピをもとに作ったカレーとアイス

It’s like this. This stone wall is great. It was also great the view from top of the castle, but I was scared. When I was young, I wasn’t scared and I was able to ride on the roller coasters. But now ... no way. I only went to the castle and then I went to Meijimura museum. First, I had lunch. These were the curry rice and ice cream were made based on the recipe of Meiji period. 

 

 

 

カレーは普通の家庭料理っぽいかんじ

野菜が大きいところが昔風かな？

アイスはね

見た目じゃわからないと思うけど、

甘くない

ミルク感がない

でした。

わたしには昔デパートの屋上で売ってたアイスだーと感じて懐かしかったけど、

息子は全然美味しくないと

そりゃそうだ今のアイスの方が断然美味しいよ

でもさ、この懐かしさ

なんとも言えんわ

The curry was like home meal. I felt it was old style curry because the vegetables in this curry were not small. The ice cream was no sweet , no milk filling. It doesn’t look that way though. It was nostalgic for me because it made me remember the ice cream I ate on the roof of the department store when I was child. But my son said it was not delicious. I agree.

これはねサイコーだね

すっごく美味しかった

行く機会があれば是非食べてもらいたいよ

And the Korotsuke of the Syokudouraku. This was the best. It was great taste. I want you to eat this if you have the chance. 

 

あのね、明治村は博物館なんだね

実際の建物があるのよ

昔はこんな暮らししてたんだと思いながらみてたけどさ

You know, the Meijimura is a museum. There were real buildings there. I felt people used to live like this. 

 

お風呂なんて男女繋がってるのよ

見えるやんけ〜

There was a tub in the bathroom. It was share for male tub and for female one 😮 wow 

 

そして、

ペスト菌の発見したって人

すごいね

ありがたいわ〜感謝ですよね

This scripture is the man who found the Prague. It’s great ! And we have to thank to him. 

 

これはね牢屋

真ん中の建物から放射状に廊下があって独房があるわけ。

真ん中から見渡せるし、独房はそれぞれ離れることになるし、設計もすごいけど、孤独って感じで怖いわ

中にはこわくて入れなかった

This was the prison.  Each cell connects from the middle room in all directions by the hall. So they can look out over them from middle room and apart from each other. It’s great design. I felt a lonlyness and horror so I couldn’t enter it.

It’s great, right. 

This is the entrance of Teikoku hotel. 

I don’t much know how to build this but I felt it was great. 

 

ただ、広すぎて歩くと大変だし、バス乗ると見れないしってとこが残念かな

バスでゆっくり解説もしてくれるけど、中までじっくり見れないからね〜

足痛くてね。参った

But it was pity the area was too big so it was hard to walk and we can’t see the inside of building when we got on the bus. My legs hurt. 

 

 

 

カオナシがキター

I like “Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi” the best in a movie I have watched before. I know Ziburi movies and I’ve watched them though I don’t derail. 

見たことのあるジブリ映画の中で一番好きなのが「千と千尋の神かくし」アニメに詳しいわけではないけれど、さすがにジブリは知っているし、みたこともある。全部ではないけどね

I heard Kaonashi go to the Kondo Yoshifumi exhibition  at Hamamatsu art museum so I went there. 

Actually, I don’t really know about Kondo Yoshifumi. But I really know about Kaonashi. I was excited that I can take a picture of Kaonashi. 

今回浜松市美術館の「近藤喜文展」にカオナシがやってくるというので、行ってきた

実は近藤喜文さんについてはまったく知らない

でも、カオナシはよーく知ってる

整理券が配られて写真を撮ることができるとかで

気合い入れて行ってきた

Kaonashi appeared from behind the curtain. 

The face was so big. 

The moving was so weard.

So tall 

So black

The hands was like nail. 

And ...definitely 

Many children really cry. 

I can understand their feelings.

変な動き〜

背 たかー

真っ黒

手が 爪

そして、お約束の

子供達ギャン泣きー

そりゃ怖いわな

It wrote one group can have 1minutes on the whiteboard. But we have to pass the camera, take and check photos, sharing hands. We don’t have enough time. Kaonashi is poor. Because he or she might not have lunch. I was worry. Anyway it was good. I had fun. 

1組1分でとか書いてあったけど、

カメラ渡して写真撮って確認して握手して

1分で済むわけがない

お昼食べる時間ある？

なんてこと心配したりしてね

でも行ってよかったー

伊豆シャボテン動物公園に行ってきたよ〜

Hi guys 

How are you today? It’s raining and chilly because my cat is sleeping on my lap. 

By the way, I went to Izu syaboten animal park. I hard that I could eat a cactus steak there. But I couldn’t. There was a cactus curry but cactus steak wasn’t being served at the restaurant. I was disappointed. 

But I had fun. There were many animals: a big turtle, goat, rabbit, monkey etc. And of course many cacti as well. We could feed and touch the animals.

お元気？雨だね〜寒いね〜？寒いか？だって、ニャンコちゃんが私の膝の上に。寒いから。

ところで、伊豆シャボテン動物公園に行ってきました。サボテンステーキが食べれると聞いていたのに、食べれなかった。サボテンカレーはあったけど、ステーキはなかったのよ。がっかりだわ😞

でも楽しかった〜。たくさんの動物がいたし。

でっかい亀とか、うさぎ、ヤギ、サルなどなど

そしてもちろんたくさんのサボテンも。

動物には餌も上げることができて、触ることもできるのよ。

アイスクリームの日

It’s a day of the ice cream today. I dropped in at the 31-ice cream after I got the medical checkup. Because the ice cream was 100 yen. Because it was around 3:00 pm, there were many children there. They made a long line to get the ice cream. After 3:00 pm, many high school students will come there I guess. 

今日はアイスクリームの日。人間ドックの後に31アイスクリームに寄りました。だって一個100円だから〜。3時ごろだったからたーくさんの子供達がいたよ。まんな長ーい列作ってた。そのあとは高校生だよ。たぶんね。

I ate an ice cream which named poppin cotton candy, maybe. I’m not sure the ice cream name. Yummy yummy. 😋 

わたしはポップンコットンキャンディ？とかいうのを食べたよ。たぶん。名前はっきり覚えてないけど。おいしかったー。

フラワーパーク

I went to the flower park with my daughter and son. I wonder if flowers are blooming. Cherry blossom season and wisteria season already finished. Because it was hot this year. But many roses were blooming in the park. It was great. Flower arrangements were great. We went to the greenhouse in the park. It’s like another world. 

 

娘と息子とフラワーパークに行ってきました。

花咲いてるのかなぁなんて思いながら。桜も藤も終わったでしょ。今年暑いからね。でも、バラが咲いてましたよ〜。すごく良かった😍フラワーアレンジメントも良かったしね。温室にも行ったんだけど、まるで別世界だったわ〜。

 

インドのイベントで美味しいもの食べた

I went to the event yesterday. Because I received the event information from my teacher of the English circle.  

The event was about India. I ate briyani, fried banana, pakora. It’s taste delicious. A little spicy. 

And I bought some sweets of Pakistan. These were soooo sweet. 

昨日イベントに行ってきました。サークルの先生から教えてもらったの。インドのイベントでビリヤニや青バナナのフライ、あと、パコラという鳥の唐揚げのようなものを食べました。美味しいけどちょっとスパイシー。

そして、パキスタンのお菓子？わたしスリランカって聞いた気がするけど、食べたらチョー甘い(^▽^;)

私は２つのサークルに行っていて、ブログに書いたのはいつも書いてるサークルではなく、残りの１つのサークルなので、the other なんですねー。

もし、３つのサークルに行っていて、２つ目のことを書くならanother ３つ目、つまり残りの１つのサークルのことを書くならthe otherなのだ！

お花見

I went to the flower park. Oh it’s beautiful 😍 tulips, definitely cherry blossom. 

Recently, there are many kind of tulips. Red,white, yellow and orange and then pink. Fathermore there are many kinds of shape. I didn’t know. 

I ate a box lunch under the cherry blossom tree. Of cause I ate a Dango too. I like watching flower petals fall like snow.

最近はいろんな色のチューリップがあるのね

あか、しろ、黄色、そしてオレンジ、そして、ピンク

さらに、いろんな形がある。知らなかったわ〜

桜の木の下でお弁当を食べ。もちろん団子もね😍

雪のように花びらが舞うのが好きなんだけどね

スカイプレッスンで私が先生に？

A funny thing happened in the Skype lesson. I learned some words in the lesson today. When I make a sentence  using “ above” ,I made this sentence “ Make sentence using above word”. The teacher was surprised and laugh suddenly. Because she thought I told her it. We were very laugh 😂. I was like a teacher.  

スカイプレッスンで面白いことがありました。今日はいくつかの単語を勉強したのですが、「above」を使って文章を作る時「上記の単語を使って文章を作りなさい」と言ったら、先生びっくりしていきなり笑い出した。どうも私が先生に対してそう言ったと思ったらしい。二人してちょー笑ったよ。私先生みたいだった？って。

BTW, in the lesson I learned “ reset”. This pronunciation  is different with verb and noun. Verb is “reset” noun is “ reset”. I didn’t know. 😓

ところでレッスンでresetという単語を勉強したんだけど、発音が動詞と名詞で違うんだってね。

動詞はりーセット、名詞はりーセットだって。

知らなかったわ〜。

Talking about Banana in Skype lesson

I took a free talk lesson by Skype. We told about banana. Because my teacher of English circle changed and she told us about banana and I told it in the Skype lesson.

スカイプでフリートークをとりました

バナナの話をしたんだけど、

なんでかっていうと、英語サークルの先生が変わってその先生がバナナを話をしたわけ。それを私が話たからそこから始まったの。

 

 I know yellow banana very well. But there are many kinds of banana. Yellow, red, green, violet and square. A teacher of Skype lesson said there is a brown also. And she said banana hart. What do you mean? 

Banana hart means banana’s flower. Do you know?

黄色いバナナはよく知ってたけどいろんな種類のバナナがあるのよね〜。イエロー、レッド、バイオレット、四角。前のブログにも書いたけど。

スカイプの先生はブラウンもあるよと。そして、バナナハートと言うのよ。は？バナナのハート♥️？なんだ？

バナナの花のことらしい。知ってました？

 

 

Then spots of banana peel are called suger spots. Some people don’t eat the banana has suger spots but as website it’s good for health. 
それから、バナナの皮の点々、あれはシュガースポットと言うらしい。あれがあると食べない人がいるけど、健康にいいんだって。免疫力が高くなるらしい

 

Then banana belong with berry. I said strawberry. She said strawberry isn’t berry. Berry has seeds inside. Strawberry’s seeds are outside. Oh. Really? Strawberry is not berry. Banana is berry. It’s a little strange. Iol. 

そして、バナナはベリなんだって。私がストロベリーって言ったらストロベリーは違うんだと。ベリーはタネが中にある。いちごは外にあるでしょと。ストロベリーはベリーじゃなくてバナナはベリー？変なの〜(笑)

 

 

 

effectとaffectの違いって？

なかなか、ブログも書けないなぁ

書きたいことがあっても時間がなかったりね

さて、今回はスカイプレッスンの時の話

テキストにaffectという単語が出て来た

Effect なら知ってるけど、と思って何が違うの？

と聞いたらね

Effectは名詞で、結果となるもの

Affectは動詞で、原因となるもの

みたいな？

例えばと自分が飲んでいたお茶を出し、これはジンジャーティーだというわけ

そして、これが茶色いのはジンジャーと紅茶が入ってるからその影響。この影響がeffect

そして、ジンジャーと紅茶の影響で茶色くなっている。この影響がaffect

みたいな？

チャットでは

effect (noun) a change that results when something is done or happens : an event, condition, or state of affairs that is produced by a cause

affect (verb) to produce an effect on (someone or something)

とかいてくれたんだけど、合ってる？

スカイプは会社のお金でやってるんだけど、今度スピーキングテストなるものを受けろと来たんだわよ。通知が。強制ではありませんって

いやいや強制みたいなもんよ

2月上旬と6月とか…

ひゃー緊張する

それもいつも受けてない先生しか、リストにないし…。聞き取れるのかしら

まあ、でも払ってもらってるわけだからやらねば。
